Living With M.S.

Welcome to the ranch!  I hope what I share with you here will help you cope
with living with this disease. There is a lot of material available on the Internet
about multiple sclerosis (M.S.)  What you will find here is practical, user friendly
information that is geared towards improving your quality of life, if you have
M.S.  If you have a loved one with the disease, or have another chronic medical
problem much of what yo find here will be of interest to you also.

Introduction

First, a bit of an introduction.  My name is Eileen A. Schweickert.  I am a retired
family doctor.  I was forced to leave my medical practice when my M.S.
progressed to a point where working was no longer possible.  Now, I raise
bucking bulls.  This endeavor began as animal therapy and has grown into a
new career. My husband and I have a small ranch and currently have two bulls,
twelve cows, three guard donkeys, two flocks of chickens, one beagle, and five
barn cats.  I also write.

What you will find posted here on the web site are my recommendations on how
to live so that M.S. does not rule your life.  My belief is that we all need to be
active and engaged in the world to be fulfilled and happy. When you have a
chronic medical problem, time and energy have to be diverted towards dealing
with it. (I will speak of M.S since this is what I know). But M.S. does not have to
take center stage.

I find it easiest to keep one web site so if you are inclined you will be able to
keep up on all the critters here at the 4B Ranch, and find information about
how we do things.  You will find links to my blog on My Space, e articles, and
where you can find me in person at book signings and speaking engagements.
You can buy my publications here through Pay pal.

Anyone who would like to contact me can reach me at
eas450@acegroup.cc If
you want to post comments, you can do this through our My Space page.
There are also links to all the associations we belong to and endorse.  Our
cattle are registered through the American Bucking Bull Association and our
donkeys with the American Donkey and Mule Society.
